Description
Heuchera ‘Alabama Sunrise’ is a really eye-catching plant that changes colour as the seasons go on, which makes it a bit more interesting than your typical foliage plant. The leaves start off in warm tones of red and orange, then gradually shift to golden yellow with hints of silver as they mature.
It forms a neat, compact clump, so it’s easy to place in borders, pots or mixed containers without it taking over. It’s especially good for adding contrast and lifting darker planting, helping to brighten up the overall look.
Up close, the leaves have a slightly textured feel, which adds another layer of interest. In late spring and summer, it may also produce small, delicate flowers on slender stems, but it’s really the changing foliage that makes this one stand out.
Once it’s settled in, it’s very easy to look after and doesn’t need much attention, making it a great choice if you want something low maintenance but still quite unique.
