Description
The Cycas revoluta, often called the Sago Palm, is a really striking plant that brings a calm, tropical feel into your home. Even though it looks like a palm, it’s actually not one — but those glossy, arching leaves still give it that classic look. It’s slow growing, so it stays manageable, usually reaching around 60–80cm indoors, making it a great choice if you want something bold but not too fast-growing.
It’s happiest in a bright spot with indirect light, like near a south or east-facing window, but it’s quite forgiving and can handle a bit of shade too. It also enjoys a little extra humidity, so an occasional mist or placing it somewhere like a bathroom can help. When it comes to watering, less is more — let the top of the soil dry out before watering again, and avoid getting water sitting in the centre of the plant.
