Dracaena Bicolour Plant

  • The Dracaena Bicolour, commonly known as the Madagascar dragon tree 'Bicolor', is a real live evergreen air purifying palm like shrub, with a long upright stem. This mini Indoor in a 6cm pot is named for their narrow leaves, which are a dark green, with streaks of pinkish red tones and sometimes white.
  • Care for the Dracaena Bicolour is straightforward and relatively low maintenance, making it the perfect gift for any house plant enthusiasts including complete beginners. This attractive houseplant can grow to between 1 to 2.5 metres when mature.
  • This mini houseplant will thrive in bright, indirect light, in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, that has a constant temperature above 16°C. Direct sunlight can be detrimental to the plants leaves, causing them to scorch. The Dracaena Bicolor plant prefers to be kept slightly moist but not waterlogged. It does not appreciate sitting in standing water, so its crucial to ensure that the soil is well-draining.
  • Repot your Dracaena around every 2-3 years or if you see roots emerging or soil drying too quickly. Choose a slightly larger pot with good drainage, select a  well-draining potting mix, carefully remove the plant from its current pot,  and set your plant in the new pot and gently fill around the roots with soil. Water well once potted.
