Description
Fatsia Japonica is a fantastic foliage plant that instantly gives a space a bold, tropical feel. Its large, glossy green leaves can grow up to 45cm wide, creating a dramatic look that works beautifully both indoors and outdoors. The deeply lobed leaves have a slightly leathery texture and bring year-round greenery and structure wherever they’re placed.
One of the best things about Fatsia is how adaptable it is. It can cope with anything from full sun to full shade, making it a really easy plant to position around the home or garden. It looks great in patio pots, shaded borders or as a statement houseplant, and once established, it’s very low maintenance.
It enjoys regular moisture during spring and summer, but otherwise doesn’t ask for much. If grown outdoors, it’s best kept in a sheltered spot, and container planting makes it easier to move indoors during colder weather if needed.
