Description
Jasmine Nudiflorum, commonly known as Winter Jasmine, is a wonderful plant for bringing colour into the garden during the coldest months. It produces bright yellow flowers on bare stems from winter into early spring, creating a cheerful display when most plants are still dormant.
This easy to grow shrub can be trained against walls and fences, where it will gently scramble and soften hard surfaces, or it can be allowed to cascade naturally over banks. It is especially useful for brightening dull corners and adding seasonal interest to borders and wildlife-friendly planting schemes.
Grow in full sun to partial shade in well drained soil for best flowering. Tie in stems to supports if training up a wall, or let it spread naturally for ground cover. Prune straight after flowering to keep the plant tidy and encourage fresh growth for next season’s blooms.
