Description
Kangaroo Paw ‘Beauty Red’ is a really unusual and eye-catching plant, known for its bright velvety flowers that resemble the shape of a kangaroo’s paw. The rich red blooms sit above slender green foliage and bring a bold splash of colour that instantly stands out indoors.
Native to Western Australia, this plant enjoys a warm, bright environment and does especially well as a houseplant in the UK. It flowers from late spring through to autumn, giving you a long-lasting display of colour with a slightly exotic feel. Its unique flowers also make it a great conversation piece and something a little different from the usual indoor plants.
Easy to care for once settled in, it prefers lightly moist soil with the top half allowed to dry out between watering. A bright spot with gentle morning or evening sun will help keep it looking its best while avoiding harsh summer sunlight that can dry it out too quickly.
