Description
Muehlenbeckia Maori is a live Indoor with thin wiry stems covered in small glossy evergreen dark green leaves. Commonly known as the Maidenhair Vine or Australian Ivy, this fast growing, mini houseplant in a 6cm pot is usual and a real talking point growing to a height of 30 to 40cm.
The Maidainhair Vine loves being in bright yet indirect light, but can grow in shaded conditions too. It prefers a spot next to an East or West facing window. They prefer a moderate temperature range of between 18–24°C but can cope with slightly cooler conditions.
Muehlenbeckia like to have their soil kept slightly moist. It's best to water once a week all year round. Water when the top inch or so of the soil is dry, and take care not to let it completely dry out. Dont allow the soil to become overwatered or soggy as this can lead to root rot.
This Indoor is best repotted every 2 years during the Spring. This gives the plant new nutrients and more room for root growth. It also looks great in a hanging planter or on a shelf allowing its leaves to grow downwards. This mini plant is great as a gift for any plant lover including beginners.
