Description
The Orange Fizz pelargonium gets its name from its zesty orange scented leaves rather than its colouring and is used as an insect repellent against flying pests. During the Spring and Summer months, it produces lovely pinky lilac flowers with deeper purple markings, making it an attractive houseplant for a kitchen or conservatory window ledge.
Orange Fizz geraniums grow best in moderately fertile, moist but well-draining soil in full sunlight. To prolong the flowering cycle, remove any spent flowers as they fade. Scented geraniums like to be kept well fed, using a dilute solution of a high-potash liquid fertiliser such as tomato feed at regular intervals.
