LOW MAINTENANCE - This deciduous, upright, hybrid tea rose is loved by pollinating insects in particular bees and butterflies, is very low maintenance and ideal for growing in a variety of locations including city, courtyard and cottage style gardens in patio pots, containers, rockery alpine beds or borders.
GROWING CONDITIONS - Forty-Niner can grow to a height of between 3-4ft and a spread of 2ft in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, moist, well draining soil. It copes in a sheltered or exposed sunny planting location in a variety of soil conditions.
ONGOING CARE - To prune, remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. Cut back the remaining canes by about one-third to one-half.
